I really like when Joanna Newsom says I don’t belong to anyone my heart is heavy as an oil drum and I don’t want to be alone my heart is yellow as an ear of corn

a “movie” I’m planning to watch sometime this week that’s basically just Jean Luc Godard and Jean Pierre Gorin talking about this photograph of Jane Fonda in Vietnam. Pauline Kael called their conversation “condescending and offensively inhuman” and Neil Bahadur of Letterboxd fame called it “the best movie about white feminism” (lmao). Released in NY as a supplement to Tout Va Bien which is basically Godard and Gorin playing a joke on Jane Fonda The Celebrity (which some believe she was aware of and played her part accordingly). currently trying to find her response/reaction to both… anyhoo I did find out that right before shooting Tout Va Bien she was going to pull out because she didn’t want to work with men anymore but she had already signed a contract
